Long before the rise of the patriarchal religions, the island of Sardinia was a cradle of Goddess worship, a place where the Great Mother was honoured in her many forms: as the life-giving water of sacred wells, as the fertile earth cradling the Tombs of the Giants, and as the moon that slivers the Tyrrhenian sea.

Over ten unhurried days, a small group of us will gently explore this fascinating island. Mornings will be contemplative with three art sessions woven through the week. Evenings are for long tables and the food of the island. Between there is space: for silence, for the sea, for the slow arrival of something the Sardinian Elders simply call la vita lunga.
